Welcome Message
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are extremely delighted to have the honor of hosting the Joint Congress of IXA and Organ Transplantation in ABO-incompatible and hyperimmunized recipients 2013.
The program Committee has put together a very exciting, educational and comprehensive scientific program. Especially information gained from clinical studies of iABO and Hyper Immune recipients will be applied to experimental and clinical xenotransplantation.
The venue for the Meeting is the Osaka International Convention Center (GCO: Grand Cube Osaka) located in the center of Osaka. As a major cultural center Osaka is the capital of the Kansai region, the western province of Japan. Osaka is within an hour of Kyoto & Nara, and houses Osaka castle, a major point of interest for tourists to Japan.
We warmly welcome you to Osaka and wish you a fruitful scientific Congress and a pleasant stay in our city.

Welcome Message: iABO/Hyper Immune Symposium Osaka 2013
It is with great pleasure that I announce the International Symposium of the ABO incompatible organ transplant/Transplantation in Hyper sensitized patients (iABO/Hyper Immune Symposium) in Osaka on November 10 and 11, 2013. This meeting will be jointly held with the 12th Congress of the International Xenotransplantation Association (IXA). Osaka is the capital city of the western province of Japan, located an hour’s drive from the historic cities of Kyoto & Nara.
The program will consist of 4 major sessions on Day 1 (November 10, 2013); (1) Plenary session for iABO, (2) Plenary session for Hyper Immune, (3) Concurrent Oral Presentation Clinical/Basic, and (4) Poster Presentations. We will also have three major sessions jointly organized with the IXA on Day 2: (1) Educational Sunrise Lectures on a topic of “Differences between anti-HLA Abs and anti-carbohydrate Abs” and (2) Joint Plenary Session entitled “How can we Overcome Immune Responses associated with Presensitization? - Optimal Regimen, Accommodation, and B-Cell Tolerance” and (3) Luncheon seminar.
The program of our joint meeting has been developed to promote a truly interdisciplinary exchange of scientific progress and concepts among investigators active in two different but increasingly related and overlapping fields. The program will thus provide an excellent forum for clinical investigators and basic scientists with expertise in ABO-incompatible transplantation and xenotransplantation to meet and discuss innovative strategies for overcoming antibody-mediated rejection, organ shortage, and other obstacles.
Sincerely,
Shohei Fuchinoue President of the iABO/Hyper Immune Symposium |
Kazunari Tanabe Scientific committee of iABO/Hyper Immune Symposium |
